Parents who work and pay for childcare may be entitled to support from Kinder Castle, thanks to a new Government scheme. Kinder Castle has been accredited with Neighbourhood Nursery Initiative (NNI) status, after being recognised by a quality assurance body.

The recently launched NNI scheme aims to create 45,000 quality new childcare places in target areas of the UK. NNI is designed to support families by tackling the lack of childcare, which often prevents people from working.

Kinder Castle has allocated 10 of its 63 child places to beneficiaries of the NNI scheme for children from birth to five years old.

Manager Helen Reay said: “We went through a lengthy process to demonstrate the high quality of our facilities and services to gain the NNI recognition, so we are very proud to have achieved it. Some parents returning to work find it difficult to pay for the cost of full-time child care – the NNI places are created to help those in this predicament. Kinder Castle is delighted to be able to play a part in tackling this problem in the region”

In line with NNI aims to reduce unemployment and offer quality childcare in high specification buildings, Kinder Castle works closely with partners including Into Work, Childcare At Work, local colleges and universities.
